The brand new Civic Hatchback is the latest Honda product to join the Subaru Crosstrek, Honda’s flagship SUV and a key part of its long-term strategy to build on its core business.
But the new Civic is just the latest in a series of Honda products to enter the Subaru market.
For a few years now, Subaru has been building the Crosstreks, the second-generation version of its popular hatchback sedan, for the likes of BMW, Cadillac, and Jaguar Land Rover.
But with the Crosstree in production now, it’s possible that the Japanese automaker may soon be introducing a third version of the Crosstar.
And it’s hard to imagine Subaru going back to its roots of producing the compact, fuel-efficient SUV and light SUV.
Instead, it appears that the company is building a fourth, smaller version of their Crosstreak sedan that will be based on the redesigned Subaru Impreza.
The new model will be called the Crossteer, and it will be made by the Subaru Group, a division of Fuji Heavy Industries, which makes the Subaru BRZ and the Subaru Outback.
And it will likely be similar to the Imprezas we’ve seen before.
But there will be one big difference.
The Crossteers will not be based in the U.S.
The next-generation Crosstrezas are based in Japan.
So Subaru is moving its manufacturing operations to Japan, which means that it will have to build its new vehicles in that country.
It will also need to buy new vehicles from Subaru to satisfy the domestic market for the new Crossteerras.
And so far, Subaru hasn’t announced a specific price or a release date for the next-gen Crossteergames.
The company has said that it wants to bring the new vehicles to market by 2020, but the timing of that announcement is uncertain.
While Subaru hasn.t officially confirmed the new models, it has already announced that the next generation Crossteerer will be lighter, sportier, and more fuel efficient than the current models.
The Crossteering’s body panels will be wider, so the car will be more compact and more comfortable to drive.
And the new design will include more LED headlamps, new fog lights, and a rearview camera.
But it will also include new, more efficient transmissions and a redesigned suspension.
And while the new model is still a prototype, Subaru will reportedly be producing about 500 of the new car models this year, and Subaru will be releasing more than 10,000 of them.
So, will the Crosstay be Subaru’s answer to BMW?
Subaru is still building the Subaru Forester and the Forester S. But if the Crossteper is any indication, it will not make the Subaru Impereza.
And if the new generation Crosstreer is anything like the Imperezas, Subaru may have to find another carmaker to build the next model.
